Pipex Features Setting up a Pipex network is easy. Pipex Designer provides an easy to use interface to define the network's nodes, data transports and message handlers. Small footprint. Most message handling packages require a massive and expensive underlying infrastructure, such as directory services, database servers or expensive server software. You can run a full-featured Pipex server even on a Windows 95 computer, without installing any additional software. Easy deployment. Once a network design is complete, the Deployment Wizard is used to create the configuration files and registry settings required by each computer on the Pipex network. These can be simply copied to the target computers on the network. Simple but powerful programming interface for sending messages through the pipex network. Pipex provides an ActiveX control for the Pipex API. Drop the control on a form, write four lines of code and your program is ready to send a message. You may use other Pipex API calls to develop your own custom message handler and data transport in Visual Basic. OLE DB message handling included. With Pipex you can create transactions to update any OLE DB database anywhere on the Pipex network from anywhere on the network. Centralized error handling. Errors encountered by any process anywhere on the Pipex network (including those added by the Pipex developer) are logged through a central error/ event viewer. Low cost. We provide a low-cost licensing structure for developers and resellers who embed Pipex within their own solutions. Learn more about Pipex pricing and licencing options. |
